I almost got scammed for the second time this week.

My wife told me I’m not allowed to shop online anymore, but I defended myself and told her these sites are getting good!

I was on Facebook marketplace looking for bowflex dumbells and clicked an ad (a paid ad!) from there.

Landed on Bed, Bath, and Beyond (they ripped the exact logo and everything).

2 red flags.

I’m not sure BB&B sells weights (do they?)
The price was uber cheap.

Which led my eyes up to the URL bar — scam site.

I think with AI this gets worse before it gets better.

I think scam sites will be ramping up (downside of ease of creating sites with AI).
I thought I found the deal of the century.
Nope, just a scam site that @BedBathBeyond miiigghhtt want to send their legal team after.

How I’m Using AI this Week…

Ok, I’m diving into website and software creation.

I have a running list of ideas, and we’re about to find out just how possible it is to build this stuff.

If the tools are affordable enough, then I’ll build them for myself, but also be happy to sell them to other willing participants.

Tool #1 I’m working on.

Software to help me track credit card offers and deals.

Where did the idea come from?

I was reviewing our personal finances and found a credit card that I wasn’t aware we had.

Turns out it was a promo deal, and I need a better way to track these puppies!

Dude getting Facebook likes for $.01

Ok, my buddy Thomas Smith is cranking up that AI and getting cheap Facebook likes.

It’s Springtime, so I’m about to pump back up my investment for Facebook likes to Gulf Coast BeachVibes.

Domain Name Flipping [Update]

I had a great conversation with Brian Harbin, a top domain name broker in the industry.

We talked strategy and what he’s seeing in the domain space.

I’m making hires for outbound specialists to help me do outreach and help speed up sales process for certain domains.

This only works for names like LaredoMoving.com

And if you click on that, you’ll see that it redirects to InvestHeavy.com (which I also recently purchased and built out using Carrd).

Here’s my strategy:

I just interviewed Brian Harbin from Grit Brokerage and he gave me the idea that I might want to set up my own landing page to be able to build relationships with potential buyers. The idea of being able to help them with other marketing services is interesting to me.
With my lander pages pointed to Afternic, I would pay a minimum of a 15% commission to them. That defeats the idea of outbounding. So I will be able to take this 15% commission and use it instead to pay my new help to sell domains!
This could change again, but it’s where I am now… 😉

[I put my ad up on Upwork and I plan to hire 3 people on a trial basis for 90 days and we’ll see how it goes.

I wrote this guide a year ago with tips on hiring a VA that you might find helpful.]

I now think 500 - 1,000 names is probably the minimum needed to start making consistent sales and see a solid ROI, and make this an actual part-time business.

Plus, buying more names will help me with content in the DomainNameLovers.com group.

Amazon Influencer Program [Update]

I haven’t made any videos in months.

I’ve now crossed $4k in total earnings.

I have 120 127 videos.

(plus 75 videos from other creators..)

My total earnings equal $3,901.23 $4,169.78

After expenses, I’m making $85.35 $93.35 per hour.
